Chicken was over cooked and dry with small amount of advocado sauce and the vegetables were withered and appeared to be cooked for awhile. We ordered the advocado chicken and the prime rib. Chairs were uncomfortable and we could not sit back in them either due to their poor design. Most of the open tables were seated with parties of 2 after my husband requested to sit at one of them. That they were reserved for parties of 4 or we could sit inside without a view. My husband asked if we could sit at one of the multiple open tables and was told “no” Unfortunately, we were seated at a high top table with very small, uncomfortable chairs. We arrived early and were promptly taken to our table. My husband made reservations well ahead of time and requested. Yes, the views are incredible but the the rest of our experience negatively affected our evening. Very disappointed!! My husband surprised me for my birthday for our first time at Top of the Rock Restaurant. TIDBIT: During the winter months they place igloos over the outside tables with heaters, a very nice experience. TIP: This is a very popular restaurant, even on week nights…reservations are highly recommended, especially if you want to sit in the deck. At $38.50 I expect better.īesides the view, the venue is modern and fresh, the service staff is excellent. The steak was cooked as ordered, medium rare, but the potatoes were not even warm enough to melt the added butter. My other companion had the filet which was served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and a grilled tomato. Their cheesy grits are the bomb!!! This place also brews its own beers, a decent selection as well. are in the low $20’s rising to almost $50 for the larger filet. Across the river to the east you’re looking at Georgia, to the south you’re looking at Alabama.Ībout the food.
